Aebersold's Nidelkuchen – Murten's specialty

What makes Aebersold's Nidelkuchen so unique?

In a special process, five thin layers of cream are carefully applied to a light yeast dough. Three layers of slightly soured cream and sugar are added during baking and two layers of Gruyère double cream are added after baking. During baking, this results in a fine caramel crust, which is softened again after baking and refined into a creamy, delicate coating.

The Nidelkuchen has already won gold five times in six entries in quality competitions.

If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely give this delicacy a try. It's worth it.

Tip: the hit for every aperitif: filled aperitif bread. The aperitif breads, made from easily digestible bread flour, rye flour, and wholemeal flour, are available in three sizes: the tower bread for 4–6 people, the round bread for 15 to 20 people, and the square bread for 25–30 people.
