Spänhauer AG owes its good name to the high level of quality work that is appreciated by architects and clients in the region alike. As a solidly managed family business, it is therefore also able to act as a general contractor for plasterers in Basel and the surrounding area and also implement large orders in a targeted and promising manner.

Founded in 1967 by Martin Spänhauer, the company quickly established itself on the market and the number of employees grew steadily. Of course, word-of-mouth recommendations from our satisfied customers also helped us to do this, which we are still proud of today and have firmly anchored this idea in our company philosophy. Martin Spänhauer's takeover and conversion of his parents' house and the expansion of the workspace for more than 30 employees marked the start of a new era in the company's history when his son Markus joined the management team. Roger, the founder's second son, also took on an important key role in the company, which had since been transformed into a public limited company. This sensible division of labor enabled everyone involved to continue to guarantee the high level of quality and service for customers.

Unfortunately, Martin Spänhauer died unexpectedly on May 7, 2000. Fortunately, he had the foresight to fully involve his two sons in the management of Gipser für Basel und Umgebung, so that the company could be continued in his spirit. This means that the philosophy of quality and comprehensive service for satisfied customers will continue to be upheld in the future.
