Butini Village is a medical-social establishment (EMS). A place for living, assistance and care, it can accommodate elderly people with both physical and mental disorders. The institution guarantees individualized and specific care so as to support and help residents with activities of daily living.

The facility comprises 132 beds divided into three units of around 40 rooms, linked by a federative zone. This configuration favors the development of proximity spaces on a human scale: - "private" spaces, i.e. the personal bedroom and bathroom. A place of memory, personal identification and intimate exchanges, the bedroom and sanitary facilities are also places of care, designed to facilitate medical and nursing care, - collective neighbourhood spaces, corresponding to the floor shared by around fifteen residents and the staff who usually work there, - public spaces, a kind of substitute for the city. These are the three first floors of the living units, which house the entertainment and dining areas. They open onto the federative zone, which brings together the reception, café, lounges, beauty salon, kitchen and a large multi-purpose room.

Our institutional project is based on the conviction that autonomy is an essential condition for personal balance. It implies the ability to make choices, to decide for oneself and to interact with one's environment. Even in a situation of medium to high dependency, residents must be able to continue to shape their own lives. The facility is surrounded by a vast wooded garden, offering a variety of opportunities for walks and activities.
