Heat pumps are an efficient, ecological and economical way to heat your home. A heat pump draws between 2/3 and 4/5 of its energy from underground, with the remainder (1/3 to 1/5) coming from electrical energy. This is largely renewable energy. Heat comes from the sun and the subsoil (geothermal energy), while almost 60% of electricity comes from hydropower. The proportion of non-renewable energy is therefore of the order of 10%.
