Thermoréseau-Porrentruy SA

The Thermoréseau is the district heating network for Porrentruy and Fontenais, which has been expanding since 1999 and currently supplies heat to over 500 buildings. This figure is constantly growing, and by 2022, the equivalent of 6.5 million liters of fuel oil per year will be distributed by our network of pipes, representing 2/3 of Porrentruy's heat demand. In parallel with the commissioning of our new power plant, we are now producing Jura-based renewable electricity for 2,500 households!

The supply of electricity from wood chips in the Jura region is a key factor in the development of the Jura region.

The wood chips are supplied by Thermobois, a sister company of Thermoréseau-Porrentruy SA, which has its own chippers and transport trucks. 

We have created an educational forest trail with free access at all times, next to our Roche de Mars power plant (route d'Alle 87, 2900 Porrentruy). On this 45-minute trail, visitors learn about the different functions of the forest and the reasons why we produce wood chips to supply the region's boiler rooms. The various panels are enhanced by illustrations by Pigr (Igor Paratte), which help to summarize the content of the main panels for children in just a few sentences.
