The société des Artisans boulangers-pâtissiers-confiseurs vaudois is a cooperative society whose main aims are:

• the defense of the interests of the industry and those of its members;
• basic and continuing vocational training for the bakery-pastry-confectionery sector;
• the promotion of artisanal bakery-pastry-confectionery.

The society's members represent artisan bakers-pâtisserie-confiseries active in the canton of Vaud (Switzerland). They are divided into eight local divisions (sections) and two interest divisions.

The Society has the following aims:

• The safeguarding of interests in the economic and political context;
• representation of interests vis-à-vis partners, public opinion, authorities and competitors;
• training and further training in the bakery, pastry and confectionery trades;
• guaranteeing the quality and diversity of craftsmanship and raw materials;
• care for the image of its members;
• promoting artisan solidarity and the identity of the baker-patissier-confiseur;
• employment policy and social policy specific to the branch;
• assistance in calculating market prices for products;
• advertising and raising public awareness;
• industry-specific information and professional knowledge;
• maintaining relations with other organizations pursuing the same goals.
