The société des Artisans boulangers-pâtissiers-confiseurs vaudois is a cooperative society whose main aims are:
- the defense of the interests of the industry and those of its members;
- basic and continuing vocational training for the bakery-pastry-confectionery sector;
- the promotion of artisanal bakery-pastry-confectionery.
The society's members represent artisan bakers-pâtisserie-confiseries active in the canton of Vaud (Switzerland). They are divided into eight local divisions (sections) and two interest divisions.
The Society has the following aims:
- The safeguarding of interests in the economic and political context;
- representation of interests vis-à-vis partners, public opinion, authorities and competitors;
- training and further training in the bakery, pastry and confectionery trades;
- guaranteeing the quality and diversity of craftsmanship and raw materials;
- care for the image of its members;
- promoting artisan solidarity and the identity of the baker-patissier-confiseur;
- employment policy and social policy specific to the branch;
- assistance in calculating market prices for products;
- advertising and raising public awareness;
- industry-specific information and professional knowledge;
- maintaining relations with other organizations pursuing the same goals.
