- Psychological care and support, body and soul are one in Chinese medicine
Traditional Chinese medicine is several millennia old. The diagnosis and treatment techniques of Chinese medicine are based on tradition. Complaints, diseases and therapies were collected, later written down and integrated into a philosophical model of thought.
According to this philosophy, the human organism is presented as a whole, namely as an inseparable unity of body, soul and spirit.
Treatment with TCM is based on all three aspects and is therefore understood as a holistic therapy system.
TCM is a form of complementary medicine in our part of the world and, as the name suggests, it offers us an additional treatment option to conventional Western medicine.
The focus is always on the patient
As a qualified physiotherapist FH, my basic knowledge lies in Western medicine. I then studied Chinese medicine.
Since 1993, I have been working with a wide variety of patients and diagnoses in various specialist areas.
In my practice as a naturopathic TCM practitioner, I therefore always try to establish a connection between conventional medicine and TCM, as well as to intensify cooperation with conventional physicians
Acupuncture
The human body consists of a meridian system on which acupuncture points are located. These acupuncture points are pricked with fine needles
.TuinaAnmo
TuinaAnmo massage is a mixture of ancient Chinese healing massage, acupressure and chiropractic, which has been practised in China for more than 3000 years. It is similar to techniques that are also used in physiotherapy.
MoxaThe moxa plant (common mugwort) is used to heat certain acupuncture points so that a lasting warmth is created
.Cupping
Cupping glasses and a vacuum are used to stimulate blood circulation and remove pathogenic factors from the body
Gua Sha
Consists of repeated scraping on oiled skin with a rounded edge. Usually a jade scraper, a metal lid or a Chinese porcelain soup spoon is used, which causes increased blood circulation in the skin and also drains pathogenic factors.
Herbal therapy
These are substances tested by Swiss Medic that can be ingested or applied externally in the form of ointments.
