As you step through the door of the tasting room in Géronde, you will immediately be captivated by the resolutely modern and warm decor that awaits you. The glass bar, illuminated by soft lighting, will add a touch of sensuality to your tasting experience. The wine bottles are stored in simple but elegant wooden niches. Above them hangs a magnificent gallery of images representing our vineyards. A series of soil samples will inform you about the nature of the Valais soil, particularly that on which our vines grow. Finally, majestic wooden casks stand proudly behind large glass doors.

In order to ensure the best possible welcome, we ask groups wishing to visit the cellar to book in advance. In principle, we only accept a maximum of 15 people at a time, but it is possible to form several groups in the event of high visitor numbers.

Description
Domaines Rouvinez is a family business founded in Sierre in 1947 by Bernard Rouvinez, an independent winegrower, and later developed by his two sons, Dominique and Jean-Bernard, both winegrowers and oenologists. The family tradition is being continued with the arrival of Véronique Besson-Rouvinez, Frédéric Rouvinez, and Philippe Rouvinez.
From the outset, the Rouvinez family chose to focus their activity on the production of high-end wines, particularly the great specialties of the Valais, such as Petite Arvine and Cornalin. They played a pioneering role in the development of blended wines, such as Tourmentin (red), Trémaille (white) and Grains Nobles (overripe).
One of the winery's major strengths is undoubtedly its ability to bring out the distinctive characteristics of its terroirs. Achieving the right balance between soil and grape variety required considerable investment. The Rouvinez brothers replanted almost all of their vineyards and developed a policy of associating each variety with a specific geographical and geological entity.
