Shortly after the retirement of the former cheese maker, the cheese dairy was taken over in January 2025 by two dedicated associates with a passion for their craft. Who aim to give a new impetus to the Sommentier cheese dairy, while combining modernity and tradition  to sublimate the Fribourg know-how.

Ourunavoidable specialty:"Le Petit Glânois". This full-fat, semi-hard cheese made from raw milk is produced exclusively on our premises. It is refined in white wine for 6 weeks. Giving it an incomparable flavor and perfect texture. The cheese comes in several variants depending on the season. Come and discover it at la Fromagerie de Sommentier.
