Udligenswil is located in the eastern corner of the canton of Lucerne, where it meets the neighboring cantons of Schwyz and Zug. Our village is located in the Lucerne agglomeration and is around 10 km from the city center.

From the charming little farming village of earlier times, Udligenswil has developed into a modern, progressive municipality since around 1960. More emphasis has always been placed on quality than quantity. The infrastructure has been adapted to population growth in moderate and manageable steps.

The five-member municipal council and the well-organized municipal administration put the will of the people into practice and plan future development. The four local parties organized in the municipality ensure that democracy remains lively and close to the people. In addition to the political structures, there are the two parishes (Roman Catholic and Protestant) as well as a wide range of cultural, leisure and sporting, educational, economic, social and societal activities.
