Uitikon, on the western slope of the Uetliberg, offers a home to enjoy in a natural landscape. Our municipality belongs to the Dietikon district and thus to the Limmat Valley. Currently, 5096 inhabitants (as at the end of 2022) enjoy the benefits of our low-tax residential community (2022: 80%). In the intact village center, we operate the attractive and versatile community center "Üdiker-Huus".

Recreation and sport
Various clubs, spacious sports facilities, a library open all day, a Vita-Parcour and an indoor swimming pool with gym and well-attended sauna on the Allmend also contribute to a unique quality of life. For those interested in astronomy, there is an observatory with a solar laboratory on the Allmend. Varied forest and nature trails offer you relaxation.

Transport connections
Zurich City, Selnau, Sihlporte and Zurich main station can be reached in 12 minutes with the SZU every half hour. The local bus takes you quickly to the SZU train station in Uitikon or to Schlieren. Various Postbus services connect Zurich-Wiedikon with Uitikon-Post and Uitikon-Dorf at very short intervals.

School care services
All levels from kindergarten to secondary school are offered in Uitikon. Lessons are held in block times and several lunchtimes are offered. International schools such as "The Zurich International" in Wädenswil or "The Inter-Community School" in Zumikon are also within easy reach.

Uitikon is also home to several crèches.
