Founded in 1955, it was the first pharmacy in Viganello and is an important point of reference for the citizens of the town and surrounding areas, not only for its wide range of traditional medicines but above all for the vast array of complementary therapies it offers.

 

The pharmacy moved next to the post office in the 1970s and has continued to grow and develop ever since, becoming larger and better stocked. The mother of the current owner worked there until 2011, when health problems forced her to hand over the reins to her daughter, who has continued the family tradition with passion and dedication.

 

The VIGANELLO PHARMACY is a place where you can find trained and competent staff, ready to provide advice and support freely and without appointments. The pharmacy offers a wide range of traditional medicines, as well as innovative and complementary solutions, such as phytotherapy (recognized throughout Switzerland as a reference pharmacy), Schüssler salts, Bach flowers, orthomolecular medicine, homeopathy, aromatherapy, spagyric medicine, and gemmotherapy. A part-time pharmacist specializing in these areas is available to offer free advice on remedies and individual preparations. The pharmacy team consists of 13 employees, including six full-time staff, among whom are pharmacists specializing in various therapeutic areas. FARMACIA DI VIGANELLO is also a training company with two apprentices per year, demonstrating its focus on and importance to the younger generation.

 

FARMACIA DI VIGANELLO offers a wide range of free services, such as home delivery, medication dispensing in the pharmacy, injections and vaccinations, blood sugar and blood pressure measurement, as well as paid intolerance tests, weekly dose preparation, cholesterol and vitamin D measurement. It is very attentive to the correct management of medicines and public health: for this reason, it offers a free collection service for expired or unused medicines with correct disposal.

 

Collaboration with numerous doctors in the area allows the pharmacy to provide a comprehensive and integrated service, including support for patients undergoing methadone therapy. In addition, the pharmacy offers a rental or sales service for orthopedic accessories, inhalers, blood sugar monitors, crutches, aerosol devices, Medela breast pumps, baby scales, wheelchairs, and walkers. The customer card allows you to accumulate points and obtain a CHF 15 voucher when you reach 500 points. No taxes are applied to prescription medications purchased directly by the customer.
