In April 1986, the Caprari family opened their third restaurant in Wallisellen. For over 21 years, they served guests from near and far at Neugutstrasse 2. IL FARO was closed in December 2007 because Haus Löwen (built in 1940) had to make way for the "Zentrum Wallisellen" station development.

After more than 2 years of planning and construction, the Caprari family reopened il Faro in Wallisellen on April 1, 2010, in this new center at Bahnhofplatz 2. The proven concept of the Neugutstrasse 2, Italian Ristorante/Pizzeria, has been retained and supplemented by a cafeteria, a bar and a take away. In this way, we want to meet the needs and wishes of our guests and try to fulfill them.
