ECAP is a non-commercial and non-profit adult education institute in Switzerland. Headquartered in Zurich, there are nine regional branches throughout Switzerland. With its courses, the intercultural organisation enables the education of migrants and employees in general, including those with little formal education. With more than 50,000 participants per year, ECAP is the second largest adult education institute in Switzerland – and the number one school for German and integration courses. ECAP operates 24 training centres in Switzerland, which are managed by 9 regional centers in Aarau, Basel, Bern, Lamone, Lausanne, Lucerne, Solothurn, Winterthur and Zurich.

ECAP Winterthur was founded in 1970 and the first training courses took place in the metalworking and mechanical engineering sector. Training for welders was particularly in demand because the large industrial companies in Winterthur such as Sulzer, Loki, Rieter and Geilinger in particular needed these specialists. In response to the employment crisis in the 1980s and the wave of immigration from all over Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, the range of courses on offer has been continuously adapted and expanded to meet new needs. Today, the demand for further training of migrants focuses primarily on the acquisition of the German language. Computer science courses for beginners are also popular. We are proud to continue to make a significant contribution to the integration work of the City of Winterthur with our range of courses. ECAP Winterthur has many years of experience and competence in educational work and has over 70 qualified and well-trained employees. So far this was my best experience learning German because the teacher targeted our weaknesses and set a lot of focus on guided talking instead of mere grammar. Studied A2 and B1.

Gerade habe ich den Blockchain Kurs an der Benedict beendet. Unser Lehrer, Herr Altinok, war so wie man sich einen Lehrer wünscht, motiviert und gut vorbereitet. Viel Arbeitsmaterial wurde vorgelegt und auch als ich fehlte, wurde mir ein Dossier zusammengestellt. Klar war es nicht einfach nach einem langen Arbeitstag noch die Schulbank zu drücken, im Nachhinein muss ich aber sagen, es hat richtig Spass gemacht. Die Klasse war super, zudem hat es mich neu vernetzt. Mein Fazit; ich kann jedem einen Kurs an der Benedict empfehlen.

Wir besuchen zu zweit Englischlektionen bei Frau Donati. Für mich ist die individuelle Terminvereinbarung ideal. Mir gefallen das uns angepasste Lerntempo und die Hausaufgaben sowie dass Frau Donati ist immer auf unsere Lektionen bestens vorbereitet ist.
