The Museum für Gestaltung Zürich is the leading Swiss museum of design and visual communication. The listed main building of the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich on Ausstellungsstrasse is one of the outstanding examples of Swiss modernist architecture. In its unique ambiance, the museum presents the treasures of its internationally acclaimed collection and exhibitions on changing themes. The new Swiss Design Lounge invites visitors to linger and try out contemporary Swiss furniture. Young and old can look forward to an inspiring experience — whether creatively in our education studio or convivially in the museum café and in the adjacent park. The museum in the Toni-Areal will be closed for alterations from 6/21/21 to 12/21/21. The Museum für Gestaltung Zürich is the leading Swiss museum of design and visual communication. The annex at Toni-Areal is located in Zurich’s thriving, trendy western district. What was once Europe’s largest yoghurt factory is now the campus of Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) . Here, the changing exhibitions build a bridge to teaching and research, present experimental projects, and take a position in current design debates.
