As a general bookstore, we place a special emphasis on Francophone and translated literature , while leaving room for quirky literary gems and our staff picks . With us, the atmosphere is simple, warm, and authentic — a bookshop “like when you were young,” with a reading corner to settle in, a children’s area to browse peacefully, and personalized advice to help you leave with the right book. Access: 5 min on foot from the train station, 1 min from the bus, parking spaces in front of the shop. Languages: French • We speak English • Hablamos español . Our story We opened our doors in Rolle in 1987 . The bookshop has grown over the years thanks to a passionate team and the loyalty of local readers. In August 2022 , we began a new chapter: Laure Paccaud , a Rolloise who returned after ten years abroad, took over the bookshop of her childhood. The adventure continues with family and our team, in the same spirit: closeness, curiosity, and the desire to share books that make you feel alive. Our mission today is the same as yesterday: to be a human-scale , responsive, welcoming bookstore, able to combine major new releases with unexpected discoveries. We take the time to get to know you so we can guide you to stories that inspire, entertain, and stay with you.
