Support for motor skills and developmental disorders in children and adolescents

Occupational therapy for children and adolescents plays a crucial role in promoting and developing various motor and cognitive skills. Occupational therapy offers targeted support and interventions, especially for children with developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), and other behavioral disorders. In this article, you will learn more about the importance of occupational therapy for children and adolescents and the various approaches used to promote gross and fine motor skills and sensory integration. Gross motor Gross motor skills encompass the large movements of the body, such as running, jumping, and climbing. Children with developmental disorders often experience delays or impairments in gross motor skills. Occupational therapists work with specific exercises and activities to improve and strengthen these skills. The goal is to promote balance, coordination, and muscle strength so that children can better cope with everyday life. Fine motor skills Fine motor skills refer to the smaller, more precise movements required for tasks such as writing, painting, and using cutlery. Children with fine motor skills problems may have difficulty holding a pen or buttoning their clothes. Occupational therapists use targeted exercises to promote hand-eye coordination and dexterity. Developmental disorders and occupational therapy F82 and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Children with F82 (pervasive developmental disorders) and autism spectrum disorder often require special therapeutic approaches. Occupational therapy can help develop social skills, communication skills, and sensory integration skills. Playful activities encourage children to become more aware of their environment and interact with it. ADD and ADHD Attention deficit disorder (ADD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affect children's ability to concentrate and control their impulses. Occupational therapy offers support by structuring everyday life, providing targeted exercises to increase attention and techniques to improve impulse control. Behavioral disorders and learning disorders Behavioral disorders Children and adolescents with behavioral disorders such as aggressive behavior or social isolation benefit from occupational therapy by learning to regulate their emotions and improve social interactions. Creative and playful methods are used to promote positive behaviors. Learning disorders: dyscalculia, reading difficulties, dyslexia Learning disorders such as dyscalculia (mathematical disorder), reading difficulties, and dyslexia (reading and spelling difficulties) can significantly impair a child's school and social life. Occupational therapists work closely with children to develop strategies that facilitate learning and improve academic performance. Sensory integration therapy (SI) Sensory abnormalities Children with sensory abnormalities have difficulty processing stimuli from their environment appropriately. This can lead to hypersensitivity or hyposensitivity to certain stimuli. Sensory integration therapy aims to improve the child's ability to process and integrate sensory information correctly. Sensory activities Occupational therapists use a variety of sensory activities to improve sensory processing. These activities can include swinging, climbing, playing with different textures, or listening to soothing sounds. The goal is to regulate the child's nervous system and achieve better adaptability to various environmental influences. Specialized counseling and interventions Left-handed counseling Children who are left-handed often need specific support to develop their fine motor skills and work ergonomically. Occupational therapists offer targeted counseling and exercises to improve writing posture and make everyday life easier. Impulse control and action planning Children with impulse control disorders have difficulty planning and controlling their actions. Occupational therapy helps improve action planning and impulse control through structured activities and games. This can be achieved through role-playing, cognitive exercises, and the promotion of problem-solving skills. Conclusion Occupational therapy for children and adolescents is a valuable tool for treating a variety of developmental and behavioral disorders. Through targeted exercises and therapeutic approaches, gross and fine motor skills, sensory integration, and cognitive and social skills can be improved. Children with autism spectrum disorder, ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, and other abnormalities benefit significantly.

Stripped Pizza

About us Stripped Pizza brings your favorite food to the table in a new way: creative, inspiring and free like your life. And just as wholesome and natural as you want to eat. For pizza enjoyment that simply does you good. Menu Our mission Stripped Pizza was founded in Zurich in 2016 with the mission of providing pizza as a wholesome meal without additives, flavor enhancers and colorings. That's where our name “Stripped” comes from: free from any additives. The recipes are created in-house to ensure that every pizza is balanced and wholesome. This means a high proportion of fiber, nutrients, proteins and vitamins. We are constantly developing our dishes to make them even more wholesome. For example, we enrich our pizzas with vegetables whenever possible. Quality is also very important to us. The ingredients are always fresh, of high quality and are carefully prepared by hand. The dough and the sauce are prepared daily on site according to our own recipe. Our dough is left to mature for 48 hours so that it is nice and airy and easier to digest. We currently offer four different doughs. Multigrain dough for lovers of “traditional” pizza dough. Wholemeal dough with linseed for those with a sweet tooth. Gluten-free dough for foodies with gluten intolerance. And a new broccoli dough, one third of which consists of fresh broccoli, for those who prefer a wholesome pizza base. Whether vegans, athletes, allergy sufferers or omnivores - it is important to us that everyone receives a wholesome meal from us. That's why we offer a wide variety of pizzas and, of course, you can customize your pizza according to your wishes. In addition to our passion for good food, we also care about health and well-being in general. We cooperate with various yoga studios, support football clubs, support the Cancer League and offer space for creative courses. Catering & Events Loyalty program Our philosophy • No additives, flavor enhancers and colorings • Eat the Rainbow • As little sugar as possible • Wholesomeness before calories • As plantbased as possible • For allergy sufferers and special dietary needs • Consciously enjoy every bite - eating is fun • Utilize food as completely as possible Reserve a table Order online Our team Over 20 people work at our 2 locations and in the back office. We are happy to be there for our guests every day because we place great value on good, delicious food and sustainability. Taking the advantages to use the interim managers’ expertise, the business solutions for clients are not only formulated, but also implemented and ready to operate. With our proven Management Excellerator methodology we accompany our clients in solving their biggest challenges. Within a few days, the challenges addressed are conceptually solved by 30-40 selected stakeholders of an organization, moderated by BRAINFORCE staff. This includes periodic review of priorities, goals and objectives. The personal involvement of BRAINFORCE senior executives is a standard process. § The BRAINFORCE Business Model builds on quality, speed, flexibility, confidentiality, responsibility and results orientation. The BRAINFORCE Group has completed more than 4,500 mandates successfully since its inception 42 years ago. Tasks of Interim Managers § They bridge management gaps or add management capacity in projects while providing additional value by introducing best practice methods into an organization. § They build up a new market from scratch, including market entry activities such as product adaptations and approvals, supplier identification and negotiations, and business development, e.g. in conjunction with the set-up of a subsidiary in a new market. § As project leaders, they establish and implement road maps along the entire value chain of a company, based on a given overall strategy. Providing interdisciplinary tasks forces is also a possibility. § Interim Managers implement either restrictive or innovative strategies and projects, e.g. in Change Management situations or in Business Development activities. § As objective experts and specialists , they assess the feasibility of projects and strategies. They assume project controlling tasks, conduct project audits, coach managers and organize trainings. Benefits of Interim Managers § Interim Managers do not just establish concepts and actions plans. They implement them. They assume operational responsibility until the results are achieved. Even after mandate completion, interim managers are available as external specialists if required. § Interim Managers are selected individually for each specific case for a tailored solution. Key factors are practical experience gained previously , relevant to the new situation, specific skills, cross-cultural sensitivity and leadership experience, and superior social competency. § Interim Managers bring their entire experience and industry specific Know How and beyond into the client organization. § They are objective and neutral. Their unbiased view helps to unlock difficult situations and to create space for novelty. The achievement of the client’s goals is always the prevalent focus. They do not get distracted by complex company-internal politics. They also do not need to waste time for personal career planning. Usually, they also are more effective in implementing actions and projects than internal employees. § Their costs are quantifiable in advance and are transparent. § Interim Manager can be deployed within 1-2 weeks worldwide, often with local interim managers, and assume immediate responsibility. On average a deployment lasts 3-12 months and can be full time or part time. § You get a senior executive designed for your specific needs who you would hardly ever find for a permanent hire e.g. in a start-up situation where the perceived business risks maybe considerable.

Welcome to JoyFactory Kinderkrippe Seebach

We have a Day care in Zurich Seebach. The daycare center is easy to reach by public transport and on foot. Joyfactory Kinderkrippe Zürich S eebach We look after babies and toddlers from 3 months to kindergarten in two age-separated groups (from 3 months to 1.5 years and from 1.5 years to 5 years). For us, children are the greatest happiness on earth. It is important to us in the JoyFactory team to offer the children entrusted to us the best possible start in life. We do everything for that. With our fixed rituals, processes and customs, we want to lay the foundation for holistic development. In this way we create a good basis for targeted support. The individual support of each child is important to us. To this end, we observe and document the development steps of the children in the day care center on a weekly basis and record them in their portfolios. These can be viewed by the children and their parents at any time. We would like to make our pedagogical work transparent for the parents and offer them a parent talk once a quarter. Every day in the morning and in the evening we exchange short information with the parents. Parents' evenings are also held, where we deal with special topics or parents' wishes.
