The Haute-Broye Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS Haute-Broye) is a volunteer fire department that protects over 15,000 residents across 14 municipalities, including Moudon, Lucens, Montanaire, and the surrounding area. With more than 270 firefighters divided between the First Response Detachment (DPS) and the Support Detachment (DAP) , SDIS responds to all types of emergencies: fires, floods, accidents, and more. Joining SDIS Haute-Broye means living a rewarding and transformative experience. You learn to fight fires, operate modern equipment, and develop both technical and personal skills through ongoing training and education. It’s also about becoming part of a dedicated and close-knit team—where every intervention is a chance to grow, to learn, and to make a real difference in your community. SDIS Haute-Broye also prepares the next generation through its Young Firefighters Program (JSP) , open to children and teens aged 8 to 18.
