The zoo is open daily: March to October: 08.00 to 18.00 November to February: 08.00 to 17.00 hrs Window to the nature of our region Discover the zoo in the Wiese Landscape Park, which was founded in 1871. In enclosures designed close to nature, you can observe mainly native animals such as deer, chamois, bison, lynx, fox, wildcat and wild boar. At the adventure farm, you can discover woolly pigs, donkeys, ponies, goats and rabbits in their natural habitat. The zoo has been home to a group of wolves since 2024. We offer guided tours and children's birthday parties. Support the zoo with an animal or tree sponsorship and become a member of the Erlen-Verein Basel. You can also make an effective contribution with a donation. So that the zoo can remain open 365 days a year free of charge. Thank you very much!
