In the 1920s, an engineer named Robert Warsitz, the grandfather of one of the current company owners, established the “Feinmechanischen Werkstätten” factory in Berlin. In 1942, the factory was inherited by his son, Erich, who was notably the world’s first pilot of a turbine aircraft.
