For good journalism since 1891

The history of the group It originates from the Corriere del Ticino, the main daily newspaper in Italian-speaking Switzerland founded in 1891 by Agostino Soldati, which for several years has embarked on a path of multimedia differentiation, both of its offer (the newspaper is proposed in the traditional paper version, in the digital one for tablets and smartphones and in the cdt.ch website for continuous information 24h24), and including other media. Today, in addition to the Corriere, the group includes TeleTicino, the first private television station in Switzerland, Radio3i, the most listened to private radio in Ticino and another well-known information site, Ticinonews.ch. Gruppo Corriere del Ticino also owns 45% of Rezzonico Editore (publisher of Tessiner Zeitung, Ticino Wine, Ticino Top Ten) and 2R Media (publisher of the Sunday newspaper il Caffè) as well as other passive minority shareholdings in other Ticino publishing companies. Since 2008, Teleticino and Radio3i have benefited from a federal licence for the broadcasting of regional radio and television programmes in Switzerland. The headquarters of Corriere del Ticino are located in Muzzano, while that of Radio3i of Teleticino and Ticinonews.ch, in Melide. MediaTI Marketing, the first cross-media advertising agency in Ticino, founded in 2016, is also part of the Corriere del Ticino Group. The Group's reference company is the Corriere del Ticino Publishing Company. The Chairman of the Board of Directors is Fabio Soldati while the Vice Chairman is Filippo Lombardi. Alessandro Colombi is General Manager of the Corriere del Ticino Group and of all its subsidiaries. Our mission is to inform and entertain the people of Ticino with quality and professionalism every day. We do it thanks to paper, radio, TV and the web. Alessandro Colombi, CEO.

We shape the future of intermodal transport

Hupac is Europe's leading intermodal network operator with a transport volume of around 1 million road consignments per year. For over fifty years, we have pioneered innovative and reliable rail transport services, thus making a key contribution to modal shift and environment protection. Hupac's network comprises connections between the main European economic areas and destinations up to the Far East. Every day, some 150 Hupac trains with their own rail wagons are on the move, transporting containers, swap bodies and semi-trailers. We strive to offer flexibility, service and reliability to our customers. The Hupac Group consists of 24 companies with locations in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Russia and China and counts 680 employees on a full-time basis. The companies of the Hupac Group dispose of 9,100 rail platforms and, acting as a neutral, independent combined transport operator, bundle the consignments of the transport companies into complete trains. Traction is provided by external railway companies. Hupac operates efficient terminals at key locations and invests in digital transformation. Hupac Ltd was founded in Chiasso in 1967. The company has around 100 shareholders. The share capital of CHF 20 million is held 72% by logistics and transport companies and 28% by railway companies. This ensures closeness to the market and independence from the railway companies.
