ECAP is a non-commercial and non-profit adult education institute in Switzerland. Headquartered in Zurich, there are nine regional branches throughout Switzerland. With its courses, the intercultural organisation enables the education of migrants and employees in general, including those with little formal education. With more than 50,000 participants per year, ECAP is the second largest adult education institute in Switzerland – and the number one school for German and integration courses. Our main activities are: • Courses for the achievement of professional qualification (Art. 33 of the BBG) for construction (bricklayers, plasterer, painter), for sales (detail trade specialist EFZ and retail trade assistant EBA), as well as for metalworkers and blind fitters • Refresher courses for architects, engineers, designers etc. with AutoCAD • Refresher courses in the hotel and catering industry («The ABCs of the hotel industry and catering») • Business management, in cooperation with the Vocational and Trade School (SPAI) in Trevano • Computer science courses (introduction and consolidation in Word, Excel, Access, Internet, PowerPoint) with the possibility of obtaining the «European Computer Driving Licence» (ECDL) • Professional language courses (German and English in sales or commercial areas) with the possibility of obtaining the respective telc certificates • Literacy courses in cooperation with the Association Leggere & Scrivere della Svizzera italiana • Founding of company • Atelier TRI, application techniques for unemployed persons • Italian language courses in various municipalities, with the possibility of obtaining CELI certificates • «Preparatory Examination Courses» for electrical and masonry apprentices, in cooperation with Unia. Fátima ist eine sehr engagierte und versierte Spanischlehrerin. Ihre Kurse für Anfänger bis zum höchsten Niveau sind interessant gestaltet, mit gutem Lernmaterial aber auch vielen zusätzlichen Informationen zu verschiedensten Themen, die Fátima sehr engagiert zusammensucht. Wir lernen auch viel über all die verschiedenen spanischsprechenden Länder der Welt, deren Geografie, Geschichte und Kultur. In kleinen Gruppen im Unterrichtsraum oder auch online lernen wir Grammatik, und die Anwendung der Sprache sehr individuell. Zusätzlich wird der Unterricht bereichert durch eine Fülle von zusätzlichen Materialien, Filmen, Buchvorschlägen etc. und den ganzen Buchladen. Viel Freude beim Lernen und herzlichen Dank an Fátima!

WHAT IS THE BAC After many years of thinking about a way to bridge the gap between the arts and the public, the idea for the Braswell Arts Center was born. Since 2017, the BAC has provided a space for creativity, collaboration and innovation in all art forms. We pride ourselves on offering dance classes and other artistic experiences for all ages, levels and body types, as well as creating new initiatives for underprivileged children and development opportunities for aspiring artists. The BAC is available for dance performances, concerts, gallery exhibitions and special events. Through arts education and exchange, BAC seeks to encourage collaboration, creation, networking and entrepreneurship within the local and international arts community. Led by Juilliard School graduate and Ballet Basel soloist Armando Braswell and his team of top artists, children will experience a unique artistic mentoring experience that motivates them to focus on their engagement and personal achievement through quality training . In partnership with sponsors and foundations, we are proud to support underprivileged children by offering financial aid to our BAC Kids program. PRE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM PRE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM The Braswell Arts Pre-Professional Program is a year-round training and mentoring program offered by the Braswell Arts Association for dancers ages 13-21 who demonstrate exceptional potential for a dance career. The Braswell Arts Center is a proud partner school of the Basel Talents competitive sports promotion. The BAC, together with the education department of Basel-Stadt and Baselland, offers the most talented dancers the opportunity to continue their dance training at a professional level and at the same time to complete their formal academic training as part of the sports class. HOLIDAY ARTS CAMP Join us for an exciting week (or two) of multi-arts programs at the Braswell Arts Center. We offer full or half day camps for children from 6 years old. Artistic mentoring in music, art and dance with highly qualified teachers to inspire the next generation of young artists. DANCE WORKSHOPS The BAC workshops take place during the school holidays in Basel-Stadt, where we bring some of the best teachers from around the world to Basel! While our regular weekly classes are only available to our members, we believe it's important to share these amazing guest teachers and their unique teaching styles with the wider community. This means all of our workshops, pop-up classes and teaching assignments are open to the public!
