Osteria Manciana Ristorante

Via Cantonale 95, 6838 Muggio
Osteria Manciana con alloggio - Scudellate - Valle di Muggio -

For our hostess Simona and her team it will be a pleasure to tantalize the tastebuds of their guests with seasonal and regional recipes and dishes that are always prepared with local products. In keeping with the Ticino tradition, the kitchen recommends the ever popular “Ossobuco” from Piera with polenta from “Mulino di Bruzella”, as well as the braised beef (“Brasato”) and the the flat or tall “Formaggini” that is produced in the valley. Cheeses can be enjoyed including the Ticino cheese “Formagella”, that is made nearby on the slopes of Monte Generoso. Finally, you can taste the local sausages with the excellent bread baked in the valley, as well as the wines of Mendrisiotto. The tradition of typical dishes will also be carried on by Simona according to family recipes including the famous osso buco with polenta “della Piera.” This and more await you in a typical and cozy environment. We have carefully selected for you different wines at reasonable prices from the different wineries in the Mendrisiotto. Of course, the Merlot dominates, but there are also various assemblages and wines that are stored in barriques to emphasize the bouquet of the wines. Our wine list also contains some representative wines from neighboring Italy, from Barbaresco to Sangiovese and finally Prosecco and Spumanti, made according to the classic method (Champagnoise), as well as, of course, with the common aperitifs, our grappas and nocinos (walnut liqueurs). The name of the Osteria refers to the family name Manciana, the maiden name of the grandmother “nonna Agnese”, who has run the Osteria since the 1950s when she took over the work that her mother Giuditta had started in the 1930s. From 1970 until today, her daughter-in-law Piera has taken care of the entire management of the restaurant; she has always welcomed all visitors warmly and has cooked for thousands of guests with passion over the years. The “osso buco con polenta della Piera”, a dish whose recipe remains a secret and has now been continued by four generations, remains famous. Simona, Piera’s daughter-in-law, will take over the management of the Manciana after the renovation, maintaining the direction and traditions that have shaped this historic osteria of the Valle di Muggio and Monte Generoso region over the years. From 2021 the Osteria will be able to offer its guests a large room for 40 people and two terraces for around 15 people, including a new one with a view of the valley. The Osteria is a typical mountain inn, which has adapted to the progress and changes of the visitors over the years but has retained its character as a daily meeting point for the residents of the Muggio Valley and those passing through. In the Osteria, farmers, bricklayers, hikers and seasonal workers who returned from central Switzerland after the Second World War, border guards who lived in the village and soldiers in times of war always enjoyed meeting each other. In the 1960s smugglers who carried their goods in “bricolle” (jute sacks full of cigarettes) to Italy, also took a stop there. Even today the adventures of the “spalloni” (smugglers) are told who tried to escape the border guards in order to bring their “bricolla” to safety. For almost 100 years the MANCIANA was a reference point for the village and the visitors, who once traveled for commercial and now for tourist reasons, between Switzerland and Italy, Como Lake (Italy) and Lugano Lake (Switzerland). Hospitality and tolerance were and will remain a hallmark of the Manciana.

Racine Restaurant

Route de Saint-Maurice 18, 1814 La Tour-de-Peilz
Racine – Living gastronomy in the heart of the Vaud Riviera

Located in La Tour-de-Peilz , between Montreux and Vevey , Racine is more than just a restaurant – it’s a return to the essential. Here, every plate tells a story of land, season, and craftsmanship. Led by chef Jérémie Cordier , Racine is a place where nature, cuisine, and commitment come together in harmony. Nestled between a lush vegetable garden and a panoramic view of Lake Geneva , our kitchen is rooted in the rhythms of our territory. A large part of our herbs and vegetables come straight from the garden just steps from your table. LA TABLE – A refined culinary experience by Lake Geneva Open Tuesday to Saturday, evenings only La Table offers a deep dive into local, seasonal fine dining. Our tasting menu (5 or 7 courses) is ever-changing, shaped by the day’s harvests and the chef’s inspiration. No fixed menu, no pre-written promises – just pure creativity and spontaneity, grounded in what nature and our local partners have to offer. Everything we serve is sourced within a 70-kilometer radius of the restaurant – vegetables from our garden, herbs picked at the last moment, cheese from nearby farms, fish from the lake, and meat from trusted local producers. More than a meal, La Table is a gastronomic experience in the Swiss Riviera , celebrating the deep connection between food and land. Last orders at 8:30 PM. We are happy to accommodate allergies, intolerances, or dietary preferences. LIGOTS – A relaxed and local food experience The casual side of Racine Ligots is our more informal, convivial concept. The name refers to an “assemblage” – a collection of simple, raw elements brought together with care and purpose. This is the spirit of Ligots: a selection of small plates meant to be shared, combined, and enjoyed together. Here, the mood is relaxed, but the values remain the same: 100% local ingredients , all sourced from within our region. It’s a farm-to-table experience , with an open, spontaneous approach. A unique setting between garden and lake At Racine, the setting is part of the experience: A terrace with a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva , A productive, thriving garden , And a calm, natural atmosphere right in the heart of the Vaud Riviera . Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner in Montreux , a gourmet discovery near Vevey , or simply a moment of connection with nature and flavor – Racine welcomes you. Two dining experiences. One philosophy: authenticity, locality, and respect for the living. Whether you choose La Table or Ligots, everything begins at the root.

A Wine Cellar/ A Tasting Area/ The Grand Cru Cellar/ A Conference Room

A Wine Cellar This is, of course, the heart of the Caves du Château. It houses over a hundred wine selections from Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and beyond. It is here that Léo Macquat seeks to share his values, his love for the land, and the stories of the dedicated winemakers whose work you hold in your hands. Many small estates practicing biodynamic farming or producing sulfite-free wines, sometimes little known, are represented here. But that’s not all: the wine merchant sets no limits. Visitors go from one delightful surprise to another. A selection of digestifs from near and far also finds its place here. Most importantly, Léo Macquat is committed to ensuring that every visitor can find something to fill their glass, no matter their budget. Importers of Taste The company Costa Viola takes its name from a geographical area in the province of Reggio Calabria in southern Italy. Costa Viola Import is the result of a project developed by the Borruto family, originally from this region. It is a place that is hard to forget, and with the constructive nostalgia of someone who, even though fully integrated into Swiss life, feels the need to share their story and roots, they choose to do so in the most original way: through the routes of taste. A wide range of high-quality products is imported to Switzerland, serving restaurants, hoteliers, and private customers. Costa Viola aims to enhance the quality of life of its customers with a touch of Italianità by offering direct sales of southern Italian specialties. The Costa Viola team invites everyone on a journey to discover the culinary flavors of the South. Costa Viola is located near Volkiland, next to McDonald's in the Inside Center. The selection includes crêpes, a cake buffet, tiramisu, and panna cotta. The café offers a variety of Italian coffee specialties such as latte macchiato, cappuccino, mocaccino, and cioccolata italiana. Costa Viola also offers UASHMAMA products, including bags, bread baskets, key holders, and gift baskets. Euro and Lunch-Check payments are accepted.

Les Caves du Château Sàrl

Rue des chappuis 1, 2800 Delémont

A Tasting Area A warm and inviting space dedicated to wine tasting welcomes epicureans in search of a unique experience. Léo Macquat also aims to delight food lovers. Drawing on his many years in the kitchens of top chefs, he offers guests delicate amuse-bouches. The Grand Cru Cellar Secrecy, discretion, prestige… The finest and rarest wines in Léo Macquat’s collection have a separate cellar of their own—worth a visit, if only for the pleasure of the eyes. A Conference Room A state-of-the-art conference room, also equipped for video conferencing, is available for businesses, professionals, and organizations seeking a unique and discreet meeting space.
