For more than 50 years, ECAP Basel has been a reliable partner for migrants and institutions when it comes to professional and social integration. Our courses are adapted to the specific needs and realities of the participants and provide access to continuing education for people who are unfamiliar with education. We are constantly developing our courses further. New projects and courses can also be developed and carried out at short notice. We have many years of experience and competence in educational work as well as motivated and well-trained course leaders. We systematically evaluate the results of our courses in order to guarantee the highest possible quality. More than 150 employees help us achieve our goals and teach our courses. We value good and constructive cooperation, tolerance and mutual respect. We have an open and honest information policy and promote continuous training. ECAP Basel in its course programme offers a wide range of courses in German, literacy, vocational training and computer science, as well as a crèche and a playgroup: • Compact and intensive German courses • German courses for new immigrants • Standard German courses in the afternoons, in the evenings or on Saturdays • Industry-oriented German courses (cleaning, construction, catering) • Intensive and standard literacy courses • Conversation courses • Modular course for basic skills • Computer Science courses in German and Italian • Playgroup Papagei with early language support • Kindertraumhüüsli day centre with early language support • Childcare • Courses in the language and culture of origin (HSK) We are also an accredited examination center for telc and CELI certifications and fide test. ECAP has been active in French-speaking Switzerland since 2007. The first regional office was opened in Lausanne in 2009 thanks to the implementation of a project in cooperation with the UNIA Vaud Trade union. As a result of the development of our activities, a second seat was inaugurated in Vevey in 2010 and we have further developed our field of activity and our educational programme. ECAP Vaud currently offers courses in Lausanne, La Chaux-de-Fond, Le Sentier, Neuchâtel, Nyon, Vevey and Yverdon-les-Bains. ECAP Vaud is an active member of the Coordination romande pour la formation de base des adultes (CRFBA) and the Vaud platform of French courses as a foreign language. ECAP Vaud has also signed a cooperation agreement with UNIA Vaud. ECAP Vaud is involved in several European adult education projects. ECAP Vaud has a small team of 40 teachers, working with enthusiasm and professionalism in an informal working environment. We give great importance to the exchange of views and mutual respect. ECAP Vaud offers a large variety of language courses and professional development courses. Our programme is very wide and allows you to choose the right course according to your level or profession: • Intensive French A1- B1 courses • Midweek courses A1- B2 courses • French writing and conversation courses • Professional French courses in the cleaning, construction and landscaping industry • Galateo, professional French course in the hotel and catering sector • Progredir, advanced training courses for migrant women employed in the cleaning sector as well as in hotels or restaurants (a joint project in cooperation with Unia) • TREM, job application courses for migrants • Computer courses The courses are open to everybody.
