Chesa Pool In 1585, by order of Baptista von Salis, the Chesa Pool was built. Since then, its charm has extended through the centuries to the present day. Many generations, families, adventurers and lovers of the Fex Valley have left their mark on the Chesa Pool. Since 2020, it has had an exclusively vegetarian restaurant, the first in the Engadin. Its fresh, modern concept, combined with the traditional ambience, results in an unforgettable experience for all the senses. Every Sunday we offer grilled vegetarian specialities at your discretion accompanied by pleasant live music. Welcome. Locanda Villa d'Epoca is located at Ronchini di Aurigeno in Vallemaggia. We can be reached from Locarno in 15 minutes by car or by regular buses; the bus stop is adjacent to our entrance. Rooms: The Villa was built in 1896, completely renovated in 2000 and underwent further renovation during winter 2023/2024. As of March 1, 2024, the new manager is Elisabetta Martinoli, who has long experience in the restaurant business as she ran Grotto da Peo at Monti in Ronco s/Ascona for a decade and previously was active in various restaurants in Geneva for thirty years. The rooms were renovated in winter 2023/2024 and all have minibars, coffee and tea makers, bathrobes, and free wi-fi. Only one does not have a shower and toilet in the room but has it privately outside. Included in the price of the rooms is a buffet breakfast. Free parking is available for our guests. Restaurant: Locanda Villa d'Epoca offers local and home cooking where local or regional products are preferred. Depending on the season, different recipes are offered such as ravioli, gnocchi, risotto, rabbit, shin, braised meat, etc.. In autumn there is no shortage of fresh porcini mushrooms and game. The restaurant and garden lend themselves very well to family celebrations, ceremonies or a relaxing time after a day of work.

Ich kenne Ihr Hotel - Restaurant schon sehr viele Jahre und war sehr oft bei ihnen zum Essen ebenfalls hatten wir vor einigen Jahre bei Ihnen den Silvester gefeiert mit Übernachtung. Ich war schon in den fünfziger Jahren mehrmals mit meiner Mutter auf dem Beatenberg und hatten das erste mal im Schulhaus hinter dem Restaurant Regina bei einer Lehrerinn zwei Wochen gewohnt und später im Dorf beim damaligen Coiffeur zwei Wochen verbracht gegenüber vom Hotel Beauregard. Zudem kannte ich die Fam. Schmocker Care.

Sehr leckeres Essen aber leider lange Wartezeit! Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal!
