We create furniture with character that stands out from the crowd and promotes creativity. Each person is uniquely made, a work of art. So our goal is to create each customer a perfect match, a furniture that fits life. We exclusively manufacture custom work based on a prior customer consultation. Sustainability, environmental protection and social responsibility are fundamental values for us. Our 10-year warranty is a testimony to the fact that we build furniture for generations. At Leikwood we create, not produce. Unique as you are, so it fits you. We started our entrepreneurial adventure in 2019 with a dining table collection. We work with epoxy resin, with large tree table tops, with reclaimed wood, as well as with various techniques such as kilning, brushing, washing or sewing wood. In the meantime we are constantly expanding our offer and now we also offer chairs to go with our tables. We manufacture sideboards, cabinets, bookcases, coffee tables and beds from solid wood. We specifically use steel, stone and glass as complementary materials for our furniture pieces. Although our clientele comes from all over Switzerland, we are completely at home in Erlenbach. Our workshop is located at Lerchenbergstrasse 123 and our showroom at Seestrasse 77. Newly we have also decorated a shop window in the underpass to the Schifflände in Erlenbach from January 2022. Founded in Zurich 1904, the Zürcher Brockenhaus is still committed to social and environmentally friendly ethics to this day. That seems more important than ever: two world wars, the development of prosperity in the 1950s, the oil crisis in the 1970s and the collapse in prices in recent decades have led to a thoughtless use of resources and goods. Our carpentry workshop restores, paints, dyes and also creates furniture in small series. We have our own upholstery studio here in-house. Our selection is large and unique. ANTIMO BERTOLINO - CONCEPT by Anna Radaelli In the works of Antimo Bertolino, the conscious and impeccable technique in the carved wooden panels, painted with acrylic colours, is the result of a self-taught path that sees the work of restorer coexist with that of the artist, reuniting contemporary artistic production with that of great workshops of the past. Antimo has had several masters from diverse artistic fields; the result is a cross contamination certainly attributable to Art Nouveau, learned through the techniques of the goldsmith and antique furniture restoration, as well as by more modern artistic movements: Spatialism, Op Art and Minimalism, that are all present in the artist's sculptures. At first glance, the works appear as paintings, given their creation on wooden panels; however in taking the time to observe the carved waves inside them, they reveal new paths to the observer. Starting from the physical experience, transmitted by the visual sense, the mind calms down and with it any attempt to conceptualise the work. We let ourselves be carried away by the sensual enjoyment given by the movement of the monochrome colour, made alive and iridescent by the carvings that refract the light and by the interior space that suddenly finds itself aligned and part of the exterior. The work is therefore a mirror that amplifies and reverberates the physical and mental world of those who observe the fractals, the waves, the lights and the colours that turn from two-dimensional objects into real sculptures; within them there is not only the third dimension (depth) but also the fourth (time) and the other dimension, namely that of the observer, protagonist together with the work, in their own perceptible and the perceived world.
