About us
The family farm, Au Clos Cornu, began operations in the 1940s with Henri Fardel, who was already offering a country butchery service. His son Éric joined him in the 60s. In the 80s, grandson Georges Fardel and his wife Ginette took over the farm and the country butcher's shop. His two great-grandsons, François and Pascal, accompanied by François' wife Armelle, joined their father in 2013 and now run the farm. Georges and Ginette are now retired but still there to lend a hand when needed.
François and Pascal wanted to carry on the tradition of country butchery, so together with their brother-in-law Ludovic Mercier, who is a butcher by trade, they created a laboratory approved to current standards and a self-service (custom work) facility in Mutrux.
The animals are raised and treated with respect. All other products used are regionally sourced.
Self-Service open 7/7 from 8:00 to 21:00
