Our institution is a short-stay home and day home for the elderly.

We offer care and medical/social supervision by professionals with the aim of helping people return home.

Our day home welcomes elderly people living at home, eager to break their solitude and find support in everyday life.

We have 19 1-bed rooms and 8 2-bed rooms dedicated to geriatric short-stay, as well as premises adapted to accommodate 11 people in geriatric day care.

SITUATION

The Home Le Temps Présent is located in the heart of the town of La Chaux-de-Fonds and offers excellent access facilities.

The institution is accessible by car and bus (line 301 Arêtes - Gare - Recorne, stop " Etoile ").

One parking space is available for people with reduced mobility. Three " 15 minutes " parking spaces opposite the entrance facilitate accompaniment.

MISSION

The State entrusts the Home Le Temps Présent with the following specific missions :

Geriatric short stay

To provide temporary accommodation for elderly people living at home who require care after a hospital stay or following an unforeseen event at home, or whose close caregiver needs a break. Care, therapy, social support and socio-cultural activities are provided by professionals and adapted to each individual situation. The main focus is on the return home. Accommodation is limited in time depending on the purpose of the stay.

Geriatric day care

Provide care, therapeutic and socio-cultural activities for elderly people suffering from functional dependency and/or mild to severe cognitive impairment. These services are provided by professionals and adapted to each individual situation. They are provided during the day only, on a temporary or regular basis. They help to alleviate functional or cognitive difficulties by reinforcing the autonomy of the person being cared for. The aim is also to provide a moment's respite for family caregivers.
