Our home care and assistance service aims to provide nursing and home care services.

Home care and assistance is a service provided directly in the patient's home, with the main mission of realizing the individual potential of the person in need of intervention, in order to make and keep these people as independent as possible from inpatient social and health care facilities (for short, medium, or long terms), ensuring continuity of care after hospitalization.

Home care and assistance services promote, maintain, and/or restore the individual's bio-psycho-social health, aiming for maximum recovery and maintenance of functional autonomy.

Home care and assistance: our Spitex service is recognized by all Swiss health insurance companies.

We operate in the Locarno area, working seven days a week.

 

Specialist nursing services

• Management of fixed catheters for the administration of intravenous medication
• Home infusions and blood transfusions
• Measurement of vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, temperature, etc.)
• Blood and urine glucose measurement
• Blood sampling
• Preparation and administration of medications
• Simple and complex dressings (including with VACÆ pump)
• Subcutaneous/intramuscular/intravenous injections
• Peritoneal dialysis
• Tube feeding (PEG)
• Fluid intake monitoring
• Parenteral nutrition / Port Cath
• Safety measures for the elderly
• Prevention of falls and bedsores
