Practice concept

The practice in the heart of the city of Basel is located between Aeschenplatz and Bankenplatz. We see ourselves as a customer-oriented, motivated team for high-quality, individual dental work for young and old. We offer the entire spectrum of treatments (except orthodontics).

One dentist and three dental hygienists have 3 modern treatment rooms at their disposal, equipped with X-ray, OPT, modern ultrasound equipment and magnification aids.

A complete, strict hygiene concept and the proper use of high-quality materials give you peace of mind.

The entire team attends training courses and can therefore combine modern treatment methods with many years of experience for your benefit. We also work with proven specialists who support us in achieving our ambitious goals.

Of course, we strive to make your sessions as stress-free as possible by avoiding waiting times and striving for optimal pain control.

After a thorough examination, we provide each patient with an exact diagnosis of their oral health condition and, if necessary, a treatment plan. We discuss this in detail, point out the advantages and disadvantages and discuss the alternatives. We take the time to respond to the patient's individual needs and plan and carry out treatment that best suits their situation and requirements.

Our dental treatments are based on three central areas: prophylaxis, tooth preservation and aesthetic-functional rehabilitation.

The prophylaxis is actually the most important area of dentistry and serves on the one hand to prevent new diseases of healthy teeth and on the other hand it helps to keep a restored set of teeth healthy for as long as possible.

The treatment of diseased teeth focuses on preservation. The treatment of caries ranges from composite fillings, which are of course amalgam-free, to ceramic or gold inlays and crowns. If a tooth is affected by deep caries or has already formed an inflammation in the bone, it can often be saved by root canal treatment. Likewise, teeth affected by severe periodontitis can usually be stabilized and preserved using new and gentle treatment methods.

If a tooth can actually no longer be saved or existing dentures need to be replaced, we strive for "new teeth" that are aesthetically and functionally similar to natural teeth. This is done either with conventional dentures such as bridges or removable (partial) dentures, but also in particular by implanting artificial tooth roots made of titanium (implants).

We work with state-of-the-art equipment and techniques, such as ultrasound, lasers and magnifying glasses, but our focus remains on the individual.

Before starting treatment, we discuss various treatment options.
We welcome both children and elderly patients.

• Prevention (prophylaxis)
  Healthy teeth and gums thanks to our dental hygienists and our prophylaxis assistant.
  Our treatment ranges from simple teeth cleaning to complex measures for periodontal disease (periodontitis).
   
• Periodontal disease (periodontology)
  Conservative and surgical periodontal treatment with regenerative measures.
  We use modern laser devices as support.
   
• Fillings (conservative dentistry)
  We use magnifying glasses to better process our fillings.
  This increases the precision of diagnosis and treatment. Color and shape corrections
   
• Root canal treatment (endodontics)
  If root canal treatment is indicated, this forms the basis for any further treatment. Thanks to the consistent use of magnifying glasses, a high level of treatment safety (painlessness, exclusion of complications) is guaranteed.
  The latest electronic instruments allow a gentle procedure even with complex root canals.
  We attach great importance to the use of biologically safe active ingredients.
  The laser used in addition to conventional therapy enables a shorter treatment time with long-term stable results.
