Functional biometry (electro-acupuncture)
Functional biometry (FB) consists of a bioelectrical measurement at the acupuncture points along the meridians, specifically on the patient's hands.

The results obtained provide information on the cause of disorders and diseases and their necessary treatment. For example, the FB can be used to find the "right" homeopathic remedy. In addition, other remedies (phytotherapeutics, Chinese medicines, Bach flower essences etc.) and conventional medicines can also be included in the test wherever appropriate. The great advantage lies in the direct testing of the patient, which allows an individually tailored therapy.

The origins of Functional Biometry go back to the German physician Dr. Voll, through whom electro-acupuncture became widespread, especially in Germany. FB is a synthesis of the findings of modern conventional medicine, the wealth of experience of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and homeopathy, which was founded more than 200 years ago by Hahnemann.

As in TCM or homeopathy, the treatment spectrum of functional biometry is naturally broad: as long as the body's self-healing powers can still be activated and its own immune system supported, FB can be used alone or in addition to conventional medical treatment for all functional disorders or diseases.

is a member of the International Society of Chinese Medicine (SMS), the Academy of Taoist Medicine and Acupuncture (ATMA) and the Society of Classical Homeopathy (SAHP). In addition to a broad training in general medicine, which Dr. med. Beat Hornstein completed with the title of FMH specialist in general medicine, he also trained in various complementary medical methods.

The focus was on classical homeopathy and traditional Chinese medicine, in which he acquired further in-depth knowledge from various internationally recognized experts after study visits to China (including Dr. G. Fisch, Dr. E. Studer, Dr. C.- H. Hempen).H. Hempen).
