The IRMA school offers a pedagogical approach that is closer to the child and identifies with the general aims and methodological and organizational approach of the Montessori Method. In a Montessori school, the way of understanding children, the school environment, the role of the teacher, and learning are different. The cornerstone of the entire Montessori methodology is the child, an active builder of their own knowledge and skills, a complete, sensitive human being, towards whom adults must show the utmost respect, avoiding taking their place. Learning is, in fact, the result of inner work, and the environment must be arranged in such a way as to allow the child to "do it themselves," observe, experiment, manipulate, and internalize concepts through the repetition of freely chosen exercises.
The IRMA House houses a Children's House section and an Elementary School group, divided into a first cycle (first and second grade) and a second cycle (third, fourth, and fifth grade), each of which operates in a space divided into two thematic and work areas, thus creating four heterogeneous subgroups. A middle school section has also been operational since September 2018.
