Description
A warm welcome
Owner:
My name is Patrick Schmid, I was born in 1970 and have lived in Birmensdorf/ZH since I was two years old. For this reason, I have a strong emotional connection to this village "on the sunny side of the Üetliberg".
I successfully completed my apprenticeship as a carpenter in 1991 with a federal certificate of competence and continued my training during the 19 years I worked for the Baur carpentry workshop in Birmensdorf. I also gained another federal diploma. I always enjoyed working as a carpenter and under Mr. Baur's guidance I was able to learn a great deal about my nature-loving profession. I was always able to contribute my own ideas and help shape the carpentry business.
My philosophy:
As a carpenter, precision work is my absolute priority. In my work, I always dedicate myself to the fascinating material of wood with great attention to detail and with great pleasure, whereby the customer can count on perfect and punctual work.
My goal is to be able to offer the customer a tailor-made product at a fair price. I take enough time to discuss the customer's needs with them and try to turn even the most unusual wishes into reality.
Employees:
I currently employ Sebastian In-Albon, a 2nd-year apprentice.
The carpentry business:
The business was founded in the 1940s. Over the years, a loyal and satisfied clientele has been built up, which appreciates the work of the small, fine and efficient joinery.
I was delighted to take over the business on 01.01.2006 as part of a succession plan. It is important to me to continue the tried and tested work of the former Baur joinery, but at the same time to realize new ideas.
