Music Area
Espace Musical is a non-profit organization. Since its creation in 1992, its main objective has been to make music accessible to all without cultural, physical, or social exclusion.
The only association to have created its own scholarship fund, the Sostenuto fund, in 2000, Espace Musical was also the first music school in Geneva to adopt a policy of solidarity with income-based tuition fees in 2005.
Main missions of the association
To promote music education for children through innovative teaching methods that meet their need for creativity and independence
To offer accessible courses with no prerequisites and a flexible, structured program for each student from early childhood to adolescence
To offer lessons for children with difficulties or disabilities
Encourage children in Geneva to play instruments by organizing music workshops in schools and nurseries
Share our educational expertise with early childhood and DIP professionals through training courses.
In June 2010, Espace Musical was accredited by the DIP and became part of the Confederation of Geneva Music, Dance, and Theater Schools (CEGM).
