General tasks of the Residents' Services

• Maintenance and management of the residents' register incl. all personal changes and various statistics

• Counter and telephone service with advice and telephone service with advice and support for customers

• Preparation of various applications and requests for the attention of the Passport Office and the Migration Office of the Canton of Zurich

• Maintenance and management of the electoral register and ballot box service for early voting

• Control and certification of signature sheets for initiatives and referendums

• Accounting for the box office

• Authorization authority in matters relating to trade licenses, Market and economic police

• Dog control

• Management of the lake rescue service for the municipalities of Horgen, Thalwil, Oberrieden and Herrliberg
