Coming from a family of winegrowers, David Rossier followed in their footsteps by studying agriculture at the Cantonal School of Châteauneuf (VS), then oenology at the Changins Higher School (VD). In 1999, he took over the estate of André Bonvin, whose father Henri had helped to revive certain Valais specialties, notably Humagne.
David Rossier now works on 5 hectares located in Leytron, as well as in the neighboring communes of Chamoson and Saillon. Allgrape varieties are vinified separately, and some are blended to produce a type of wine that is completely different from the pure grape variety. His wide range of 25 wines showcases Valais specialties througha vinification process that aims to bring out the typical characteristics of the grape varieties.
