Description
The schildareal, a prospering industrial, commercial and service center with a wide range of rental space and infrastructure.
Eight building complexes house companies from various sectors such as the chemical industry, electronics, education, healthcare and social services, public administration, wholesale and retail. 60 companies employ over 800 people.
Buildings of the former textile factory that are worth preserving have been appropriately renovated, while buildings that are not worth preserving have been or will be replaced by modern, sustainable new buildings.
Versatile rental space for industry, commerce and services
The versatile buildings and rental premises as well as the infrastructure are suitable for production, workshop, laboratory, office, practice, training and storage. The total rental space comprises 40,000 m².
Demand-oriented supply with in-house energy treatment
The schildareal offers a needs-based energy supply, its own technical service and other services.
Process heat, compressed air and groundwater are treated centrally at the schildareal and supplied to the rental properties.
An in-house technical service monitors and maintains the technical systems and can be requested by tenants for services such as forklift services.

The schildareal is owned by Schild AG. Our activities are the preservation, further development and management of the schildareal. We renovate buildings worthy of preservation according to functional and ecological criteria. We invest in functional, sustainable new buildings.
We supply our tenants with cost-effective energy to carry out their activities and provide them with an adequate infrastructure of transport routes and parking spaces.
