The Lugano Regional Hospital is a public multi-specialty hospital equipped with modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art medical technology.

Situated in the southern region of Italian-speaking Switzerland, within the Lugano Regional Hospital there is a different and complementary specialization orientation: the Civic which is better equipped to respond effectively to the most serious and urgent pathologies, and the Italian oriented toward short-stay and outpatient surgery and medicine.

The hospital is responsible for providing the Lugano district with basic hospital care and a range of specialized services of regional and cantonal dimensions.
