History
A taste for aesthetics woven over seven generations. Discover the history of the Moyard company below.
1821
Pierre Moyard and his wife Henriette settle in the shadow of Morges Castle. Their union produces three children: Jules, who becomes a cabinetmaker in 1827, Jeanne, who becomes an interior designer, and Louise-Henriette.
1848
Louise-Henriette gave birth to a son, Jean-Henri. His aunt Jeanne and uncle Jules passed on the secrets of their craft to him.
1908
His son Henri took over the family business after attending specialized schools in Paris and working for three years in the best workshops in the City of Light.
1930
Henri Moyard crowned his efforts by acquiring what was, in the 18th century, the Hostellerie des Trois-Rois, a building located at 83 Grand-Rue.

His daughters Edmée Winkler-Moyard and Nelly Guignard-Moyard took up the torch, assisted by their husbands Fritz and David, respectively a master upholsterer and decorator and a cabinetmaker.

After completing his studies and internships, Jean Winkler joined the company, which became a public limited company in 1969.
