Description
Conservative and postoperative treatments in trauma, orthopedic, rheumatology, neurological, vascular (edema of various nature), pediatric (school age and adolescent), geriatric, scar (burns), pelvic floor rehabilitation (women only).
TEAM AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES:
The practice consists of a close-knit and dynamic mixed team of 3 physiotherapists dipl. and 2 secretaries. We are able to accommodate patients who speak Italian, French, German and English. We also perform treatments at home (on doctor's orders).
The practice's approach is medical, focusing both on symptom treatment and its subsequent prevention, and actual active rehabilitation.
We also perform approaches related to wellness (decontracting, e.g., with physical therapies and/or massage) and to instruction on specific topics (e.g., on posture, or on the proper use of weights for those who practice sports).
Much importance is therefore given to postgraduate training, which allows us to cover a very broad casuistry and to accommodate patients suffering from numerous afflictions, even combined. Some training in our possession:
comprehensive training (3 levels) of manual therapy according to Maitland
comprehensive training in medical lymphatic drainage and related compression bandaging (at CHUV and with CAS in "Angiology" at SUPSI)
training in pediatric rehabilitation (with CAS in "Pediatric Rehabilitation" at SUPSI)
themed training in unstable shoulder (at SUPSI)
training in pelvic floor and female incontinence (with CAS in "Rehabilitation of Female Health," training that includes rehabilitation of musculoskeletal, medical and classic sports of the women)
training on special orthopedic testing (at SUPSI)
training Trigger Point and Dry Needling (at SUPSI and IMMT)
training Kinetic Control (postural control)
training on physiotherapeutic rehabilitation of the large burn patient (at CHUV)
training Kinesio Taping (application of adhesive Tape for rehabilitation and sports purposes)
specific training on scientific research in physiotherapy (at SUPSI)
The STUDY:
The simple but cozy studio, about 100m2 in size, consists of a secretarial room, 4 treatment rooms (cabins) and 2 space dedicated to exercises, both free-body and with equipment.
