The company J. Kaufmann AG was founded in October 1980 with 4 shareholders. The building on Neuhaltenstrasse in Ebikon was purchased when the company was founded. Since the company was founded, the management has been in the hands of Josef Kaufmann, who is now the sole shareholder with his wife Erna.

A new page in the book of company history was opened in 2014: Ricardo Dos Santos took over the management of J.Kaufmann AG on 06.01.2014. The 30-year-old dual national has been working at J. Kaufmann AG for over 15 years and completed his apprenticeship and further training as a master bodyworker at the company.

The premises were divided into a car body shop and car paintshop division. In March 1981, the company started setting up and carrying out the first jobs with a staff of 6 specialists. The clientele, which mainly comes from Ebikon and the Rontal region, has been constantly expanded and extended. Today, the company employs 9 professionals and 5 apprentices. Over the years, the company has constantly invested in infrastructure and equipment. As a result, the workspaces and facilities are state of the art.

Training and further education have always been very important at Carrosserie J. Kaufmann AG. We have trained over 20 apprentices since the company was founded. Our employees are constantly kept up to date with the latest technology through courses or further training on new machines, tools and materials that they carry out themselves.
