Kinesiotape
Kinesiotape is a neuromuscular bandage that uses an elastic adhesive tape to provide mechanical and sensory stimulation from the part of the body where it is applied to the central nervous system.
The adhesive on this "patch" does not contain any drugs, but is arranged on the tape in small circles; these expand and contract with body movement, causing the underlying skin to move and sending stimuli deeper.
This stimulation has several purposes, such as: analgesic action, reduction of edema and inflammation thanks to its action on blood and lymphatic circulation, providing sensory stimuli to inhibit the muscles, thus relaxing a muscle, reducing a contracture, or exciting a muscle, thus maintaining tone and trophism, avoiding hypotonia. It also improves joint function by stimulating proprioceptors.
There are different application techniques depending on the desired effect, which is why it is necessary to attend a specific course to train a therapist in the use of this technique.
Dry Needling
Dry Needling is a very effective form of treatment for managing myofascial pain syndrome caused by specific muscle dysfunctions, trigger points, which cause local and referred pain.
The technique involves inserting thin acupuncture needles, without any medication (dry needle), into the muscles to be treated.
The skin is disinfected beforehand, then the sterile, single-use needle is inserted between the skin and the muscle, directly into the painful area, triggering a local neuromuscular response.
After dry needling treatment, the treated muscle area feels much softer and more relaxed.
Keope
Keope is an ergonomic structure with proprioceptive resonance which, with the body in complete functional relaxation, leads to correct posture and total relaxation with obvious benefits in just a few minutes. It improves your respiratory, cardiac, and vascular systems and eliminates all types of physical discomfort related to the musculoskeletal system.
Complete functional unloading means that the body is in a condition where every muscle is at rest and most of the joints are decoapted, allowing for greater oxygenation and relaxation of the ligaments.
Keope adapts perfectly to the body thanks to its carefully designed supports, which are adjustable.
This structure works using three principles: mechanical modulation, mechanical vibration, and sound waves.
With mechanical modulation, Keope overcomes the obstacles posed by rational barriers through proprioceptive channels, entering into resonance with vital functions. It acts by stimulating the skin's mechanoreceptors at multiple points along the muscle chains. In this condition, the modulation, which is of modest amplitude and targeted frequency, acts with precision at the intended points.
The vibrating component is managed by software with various programs that establish the exact frequency according to the proprioceptive system to be put into resonance.
The sound waves are produced by a voice and sound modulations that synchronize each proprioceptive sensor to the treatment, conditioning the exteroceptive tissue.
The voice ignites the imagination, which is a powerful support for emotional dynamics.
Sounds and the voice contribute significantly to the process of stimulating skin mechanoreceptors, and are therefore indispensable for the results of multifocal mechanical modulation.
All this synergistically activates exteroception, immaginoception, and interoception, making mind-body therapy a unique event.
