Praxis Dentavista

At dentavista in Reinach and Therwil, we treat you in such a way that you leave our practice with a smile on your face – because that is what we are trained and equipped to do. And we have been doing so for many years. Our dentist and managing director, Dr. med. dent. Rainer Hunkeler, opened his practice in Reinach in 1993, which has been operating under the name dentavista since 2008. In 2013, dentavista expanded across the gentle Jura hills to Therwil, where it opened its second practice. Today, a total of 21 employees work at the two locations. Our team is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Appointments outside these hours are available upon request.

 

Surgery

Surgical procedures are unavoidable when removing wisdom teeth, treating dental accidents, performing cyst operations, and bone augmentation. We perform these procedures with the utmost precision and cleanliness—especially in mucogingival surgery, which encompasses all surgical procedures on the gums.

Radiology

High-resolution X-ray images with minimal radiation exposure: for optimal diagnosis and joint treatment planning, we use state-of-the-art digital technology that allows X-ray images to be displayed on a computer within a very short time. In order to reliably plan even complex procedures, we produce a digital volume tomogram. With 3D X-ray technology, we can display individual sections of the jaw with spatial precision.

Implants

Implants take on the function of artificial tooth roots when teeth are missing and offer several advantages: they relieve the remaining teeth and there is no need to grind down the neighboring teeth. As fixed dentures, they are particularly suitable for older patients. Dentavista has many years of experience with proven implant systems.

Periodontology

Periodontitis is the gradual breakdown of the jawbone, which unfortunately often leads to tooth loss. Our treatment strategy against this bone loss ranges from comprehensive education on oral hygiene to periodontal surgery measures that support bone regeneration using the latest methods.

Prophylaxis

Periodontitis and caries can be prevented with regular professional teeth cleaning and good oral hygiene. Our dental hygienist will show you how: she will clean and polish your teeth and explain the ideal brushing technique.

Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening and the removal of discoloration are among the methods used in cosmetic dentistry. Ask us about the options available. We know how to make your teeth whiter again.

Crowns/bridges/veneers

If a damaged tooth can no longer be restored with a conventional plastic filling, it must be fitted with a crown. Depending on the situation, we use all-ceramic or porcelain crowns with a gold framework. Veneers (porcelain shells) are used to correct slight misalignments, unsatisfactory tooth colors, and shapes. We close gaps with either implants or ceramic bridges.

Pediatric dentistry

Children need special attention at the dentist. That is why we take plenty of time for our young patients and treat them with care and patience.

Anesthesia

"The Wand" is a noticeable improvement in local anesthesia. This is a computer-assisted syringe that enables painless injections and is therefore particularly well suited for children and anxious patients. There is also the option of treatment under general anesthesia.

General anesthesia

General anesthesia eliminates consciousness and pain sensation throughout the body for the duration of the procedure. During anesthesia, the patient is in a sleep-like state. This allows operations or treatments to be performed without the patient feeling anything. For general anesthesia, we work with a highly qualified, well-coordinated team.

Endodontics

Root canal treatment aims to preserve a tooth whose nerve is inflamed or dead. The nerve tissue is removed, the root canal is disinfected, and finally filled. In order to achieve the best possible result and offer you a comfortable treatment, we perfect the conventional preparation by hand with the aid of machines. We use modern technologies such as Reciproc © and MTwo ©.
