Every person is unique and every clinical case is different ! Therefore, the management of a patient must take into account his or her history, symptoms, physical characteristics, behaviors, beliefs, reactions and expectations in order to establish an adapted and personalized treatment.

Managing pain starts with understanding it ! Only care based on listening, observation and reflection provides lasting relief for patients, and gives them the chance to return to fulfilling social, professional and sporting activities.

PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physiotherapy treats pain and functional limitations, arising from injury or disease, affecting muscles, tendons, joints and bones as well as the neurological (brain, nerves, spinal cord), respiratory (lungs), circulatory (blood vessels) and cardiac (heart) systems.

It aims to help recover maximum physical capacity, taking into account each individual's recovery potential. It therefore involves individualized care, targeted to the patient's expectations and focused on the patient's self-empowerment, to enable him or her to acquire the physical capacities necessary for social integration, activities of daily living and the accomplishment of work, leisure or sport.

Physiotherapy is the most effective way of helping patients recover their physical capacities.

Physiotherapy is aimed at people of all ages, and is also involved in prevention and health promotion.

Treatment always begins with a physiotherapeutic assessment, then focuses on different areas :

-       Ergonomic advice

-       Learning or relearning motor patterns (how to move)

-       Manual techniques (mobilization, manipulation, massage, stretching, manual lymphatic drainage, taping)

-       Targeted and functional muscle strengthening

-       Exercise training

-       Resuming activities (work/sport)

RATES AND REIMBURSEMENTRATES AND REIMBURSEMENT

Physiotherapy is reimbursed by basic health insurance (LAMal), accident insurance (LAA), military insurance and disability insurance (AI) on physician's prescription. Important :  sessions must be started within 35 days following the date the prescription is issued.

Physiotherapy is bound by tariff agreements negotiated by physioswiss with the various insurance companies. The practice is therefore recognized by all insurances, sickness or accident, and by SUVA.

Treatment can be extended with the doctor's agreement.

It is also possible to follow sessions without a doctor's prescription. In this case, treatments will be at your expense, billed at CHF 50.-/ 30 minutes.

Please note again that patients have free choice of physiotherapist.
