Angiology is the study of blood vessels:

• The arteries, down to the finest branches (capillaries)
• The veins
• The lymphatic vessels

As an angiologist, I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases and their prevention. The most common diseases are varicose veins, thromboses, pulmonary embolisms, blocked arteries such as in "intermittent claudication", swelling such as in chronic venous insufficiency or lymphoedema.

In addition to a detailed consultation and medical examination, I use the most modern means and methods to clarify and treat you as a patient as gently as possible.

These methods include:

• Ankle pressure and pulse curve measurement
• Photoplethysmography
• Ultrasound of the blood vessels
• Contrast imaging of the arteries or veins
• Balloon catheter therapy with and without stents
• Vein removal with the heat catheter (ClosureFast procedure), or minimally invasive using    miniphlebectomy, as well as classic surgery in collaboration with renowned surgeons
• Vein sclerotherapy, sclerotherapy
• Modern wound care

Preventive check-ups include the clarification of individual risk factors for arteriosclerosis ("hardening of the arteries") or venous thrombosis
