The Swiss Association
 

Since 1981, the World Children's Villages of the "Sisters of Mary" have contributed financially to the poor relief of the "Sisters of Mary", especially for the upkeep of the homes for girls and boys in Asia,  Latin America and Tanzania. The association is exempt from tax according to the ruling of the Zurich cantonal tax office.

In the 2022 calendar year, the Zurich office was able to donate CHF 2,5 million to the Sisters of Mary. Several thousand private benefactors, as well as parishes and foundations, faithfully support the Sisters' protégés.

The association submits to the opinion of a sworn auditor every year. Each year, the auditor certifies that the association's accounts are "clean" and that donations are forwarded in accordance with the statutes. An international audit report provides information on the Congregation's care for the poor and also on the use of donations from Switzerland.

The World Children's Villages is a charitable organization that exclusively supports the poor relief projects of the "Sisters of Mary". The association in Zurich does not have its own project department. All planning, implementation and monitoring of the projects in Asia and Latin America are carried out by the "Sisters of Mary" on site.
