CORPUS Architecture Urbanisme

La Voie-Creuse 14, 1202 Geneva
THE STRENGTH OF A SUSTAINABLE AND DESIRABLE VISION

CORPUS is an architectural practice established over twenty years ago in French-speaking Switzerland, which sees architecture and urban planning as disciplines that go beyond the simple act of building. Each of our projects is a response to issues that are part of a long-term, shared territory. By virtue of their location and lifespan, all the buildings we produce convey collective aspirations and bear witness to today's society for future generations. The architectural approach is based on clarifying and raising awareness of the issues inherent in each project. CORPUS adopts a broad approach, placing reflection at the heart of its work. By carrying out an in-depth assessment, the architects identify fundamental issues such as long-term quality of use, urban integration and environmental requirements. Each project is a tailor-made response to its own specific challenges, in a constant quest for authenticity and excellence. With a multidisciplinary team based on a responsible and collaborative vision, the architects at CORPUS are committed to offering architecture that focuses on people, through emblematic, functional and sustainable projects. The firm's architectural practice covers a wide range of areas, from the construction of contemporary villas, residential buildings and public programmes to the conversion and renovation of heritage properties in French-speaking Switzerland. CORPUS sees each project as an opportunity to push back the boundaries of what is possible, to create meaning and meet the most ambitious expectations, and to play a key role in the architectural dialogue of the greater Geneva area. Are you an individual looking to build or renovate your property? Do you represent a private or public organisation and are planning to build, convert or enhance a building? Would you like to appraise a property? Our office currently employs more than 30 people specialising in design, project management, construction management and property valuation. Our main areas of expertise : - Contemporary construction and conversion of flats and villas. - Renovation and enhancement of buildings. - Construction, conversion and renovation of administrative/public buildings. Baud Yann

Rue des Eaux-Vives 77, 1207 Geneva

At the origin of the Feldenkrais Method: Moshe Feldenkrais (1904 - 1984): Born in Russia, studied physics in Paris. He was assistant to Frédéric Joliot-Curie and then to Paul Langevin. A pioneer of Judo in France and Great Britain, he specialized in psychomotricity problems. He taught at Tel Aviv University and made his method known through numerous courses and seminars in America and Europe, in particular at the Pitié-Salpétrière hospital in Paris. Yann Baud: Practitioner with a degree in the Feldenkrais method Embodied Life Certified Practitioner Composer Certified member of the Swiss Feldenkrais Association and MEfit Quality Label Practice in Geneva since 1986, in the form of individual lessons, groups, internships and collaboration with various institutions. The Feldenkrais Method: An approach to oneself and its relation to the world through body movement and attention. Through hundreds of different lessons, experimenting with the countless possibilities of human movements, the Feldenkrais practitioner offers the student movements that they are invited to explore at their own pace, in a comfortable amplitude, paying attention. to his bodily sensations, to his breathing, to his supports, to the effects of gravity, to space, to his thoughts, to his feelings, to the relations between the nervous system, the skeleton, the muscles and the environment in all its aspects. The Feldenkrais Method creates the conditions for "awareness through movement": when something in us perceives that what is being experienced is deeply interesting and meaningful, there is a harmonious change that comes from within and amazes us. What the Feldenkrais Method will do for you: The benefits of this approach can be numerous: better quality of movement and posture, more strength and flexibility, physical and mental well-being, better adaptation to stress and to life in general. By improving breathing, the body is better oxygenated and vitality increases accordingly. The kinesthetic sense is refined, the person becomes aware of the way in which his patterns are formed and can thus modify them more easily.
