Holidays for everyone Holiday dreams should come true for all of us – for disadvantaged families with children just like for children and young people with a disability. This is why we are here. Affordable holidays for families with tight budgets We take it as our social responsibility to offer a break to people who cannot afford one at regular prices. Nobody wants to be in precarious circumstances. But almost everyone can be affected by illness, a stroke of fate, or the loss of a partner which can plunge them into financial difficulties. Holiday aid for families Families in precarious circumstances – many living below the poverty line – cannot afford to go on holiday with their children. This is where we come in. For a solidarity contribution of CHF 200.–, families can spend a week’s holiday in a Reka Holiday Village, a Reka Holiday flat, or a Swiss Youth Hostel. Everything is prepared there for large and small guests to feel at home, relax, let off steam, and recuperate. Holiday aid and offers for single-parent families Single mothers and fathers are particularly challenged in everyday life. They have to assume all responsibility for and pay total attention to the children, make a living, and organise the daily routine. For these single parents, the Reka Foundation for Holiday Aid has developed an offer especially adapted to their needs. This support creates valuable family time. Completing the financing for holiday camps Short breaks from everyday life do you a world of good – this is also true for people with disabilities. This is what we are committed to. Just like for many others, holidays are also one of the highlights in the year for children and young people with disabilities. These holidays provide a change, new emotions, and stimulation. We complete the financing of supervised holiday camps in Switzerland. This way, nobody has to stay at home.
