In addition, we regularly conduct mobile blood donation drives in local communities. We produce the blood products at our center and run an immunohematology laboratory accredited by SAS. The donated blood is used to treat people who have suffered severe blood loss due to accidents or surgeries. It is also essential in the treatment of cancer, leukemia, and other illnesses. In our region, about 50% of the required blood units are missing. To cover the full demand, we must purchase additional blood products from other parts of Switzerland.
