At Camping Tamaro Resort you can spend unforgettable, relaxing days in brand-new superior bungalows (as of 2020 season, 16 new bungalows). These are very elegant structures, equipped with all the comforts: neutral colors, a unique atmosphere, walls and floors tone-on-tone, in short a very dreamlike ambience for families with higher demands. Each bungalow has a kitchenette with fridge and dishes (common kitchen equipment), two to three bedrooms, one to two bathrooms with shower, satellite TV, WiFi, heating and air conditioning. Welcome. Locanda Villa d'Epoca is located at Ronchini di Aurigeno in Vallemaggia. We can be reached from Locarno in 15 minutes by car or by regular buses; the bus stop is adjacent to our entrance. Rooms: The Villa was built in 1896, completely renovated in 2000 and underwent further renovation during winter 2023/2024. As of March 1, 2024, the new manager is Elisabetta Martinoli, who has long experience in the restaurant business as she ran Grotto da Peo at Monti in Ronco s/Ascona for a decade and previously was active in various restaurants in Geneva for thirty years. The rooms were renovated in winter 2023/2024 and all have minibars, coffee and tea makers, bathrobes, and free wi-fi. Only one does not have a shower and toilet in the room but has it privately outside. Included in the price of the rooms is a buffet breakfast. Free parking is available for our guests. Restaurant: Locanda Villa d'Epoca offers local and home cooking where local or regional products are preferred. Depending on the season, different recipes are offered such as ravioli, gnocchi, risotto, rabbit, shin, braised meat, etc.. In autumn there is no shortage of fresh porcini mushrooms and game. The restaurant and garden lend themselves very well to family celebrations, ceremonies or a relaxing time after a day of work.

Awards The Locanda Orico restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star and scored 16/20 points in Gault & Millau (Rising Star of the Year 2003). In 2021, it received the Swiss Culinary Merit Award. The Master Behind the Flavors: Chef Lorenzo Albrici I had the fortune of assisting the brigade at Frédy Girardet's restaurant. My name is Lorenzo Albrici, and since 1998, I have worked as the owner and chef at the Locanda Orico restaurant. I spent several years working as a cook, during winter seasons in the kitchens of large hotels in Engadin and during summer seasons in major hotels in other Swiss cities. The Wine Cellar The Locanda Orico restaurant offers a cellar with many labels of fine wines, including the best selection of local and international wines. Our professional sommeliers will be happy to advise you and meet your every need. We also have an excellent selection of half-bottles, and you can also ask to pair your menus with wine by the glass. We also offer you the option to take home any wine that is not entirely consumed during dinner. Feel free to ask our staff, who will gladly prepare a takeout package for you. Interiors The restaurant has two independent, well-kept, and elegant rooms, with soft lighting and exposed beams on the ceilings. In the large room on the right, there are six tables accommodating a maximum of 21 people. In the smaller room on the left, there are four tables for a maximum of 10 people. The rooms can be reserved individually for your special occasions. Banquets The two rooms can accommodate up to a maximum of 40 people (in the large room, up to a maximum of 28, and in the small room, up to a maximum of 12).
